KLM has reimagined its Business Class meal presentation, introducing a more personalized and refined dining experience for passengers aboard its Embraer E-Jet fleet. The updated meal box now features modular components—think granola and preserves served in separate containers for optimal freshness, and salad dressings and crunchy nuts provided on the side. This allows travelers to tailor their meals to their individual preferences, enhancing both taste and enjoyment.
Commitment to Sustainability
Morning departures feature a thoughtfully curated breakfast box, complete with seasonal fruit, premium cold cuts, artisanal cheeses, and a freshly baked roll served warm. For midday and evening flights, guests receive a vibrant salad paired with gourmet accompaniments—such as a classic Dutch apple tart. KLM continues to champion sustainability by prioritizing locally sourced ingredients wherever feasible. All meats and eggs are Beter Leven certified, and seafood dishes are prepared exclusively with MSC-certified fish. Even the packaging reflects eco-conscious values, crafted from recycled and fully recyclable cardboard.
Flexible Dining Times on Key Routes
On six of KLM Cityhopper’s longest European routes—Cagliari, Helsinki, Ibiza, Porto, Split, and Valencia—Business Class guests now enjoy the freedom to choose when they dine, a feature highly valued by frequent flyers. Alongside the main meal box, a second snack service is offered: opt for a traditional Dutch croquette or a savory spinach and feta pastry, both reflecting KLM’s heritage and culinary creativity.
Enhanced Presentation and Cabin Integration
The new meal box not only boasts a more elegant aesthetic but has also been ingeniously redesigned to maximize space on the Embraer’s tray tables. This improvement ensures that beverages and additional items fit comfortably, elevating the overall inflight experience. With a modern fleet of 49 Embraer E-Jets—comprising 32 E190s and 17 E175s—KLM Cityhopper operates the largest Embraer fleet in Europe, offering consistency and comfort across all Business Class cabins.
