Lufthansa expands lounge offering at Frankfurt Airport

Travelers eligible for lounge access can now indulge in a significantly upgraded pre-flight experience at Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 1A Schengen zone. Lufthansa’s newly extended Panorama Lounge is now welcoming guests with expanded amenities and unrivaled comfort.

Leveraging newly acquired space directly opposite Gate A26, Lufthansa has increased its Business Lounge footprint by 1,100 square meters. This strategic expansion has boosted the total seating capacity in this lounge area by an impressive 40%, ensuring even during peak hours, guests can find a tranquil spot to unwind or work.

Dr. Andreas Otto, Lufthansa Group Product Manager for Premium Airlines and Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines, commented: "We are proud to once again set the benchmark for premium pre-flight hospitality by enlarging our Panorama Lounge. Our ongoing investment in the Frankfurt hub includes further upgrades and renovations that will continue to raise the standard for our valued guests."

The centerpiece of the Panorama Lounge is its sweeping, floor-to-ceiling views of the bustling Frankfurt Airport apron—offering an immersive vantage point for aviation enthusiasts and business travelers alike. In contrast to the traditional Lufthansa lounge aesthetic, the Panorama Lounge features an open-plan layout with a variety of seating arrangements, a curated buffet of gourmet food and beverages, and multiple private rooms for focused work or quiet relaxation. Additional highlights include a dedicated smoking lounge, supplementary buffet stations, a serene rest area, and a premium washroom suite equipped with four contemporary rain showers. These upgrades reflect Lufthansa’s commitment to delivering a world-class lounge experience, as confirmed in their latest press release.
