London's Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Unveils Glamourous New Rooms And Suites

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London has emerged from an extensive multi-year transformation, reaffirming its status as one of the city’s most prestigious five-star hotels. Throughout this ambitious renovation, the property remained open, seamlessly blending heritage with contemporary luxury. The revitalisation, led by internationally acclaimed designer Joyce Wang, has been completed in carefully orchestrated stages, culminating in the unveiling of 95 exquisitely reimagined rooms and suites for discerning travellers in 2025.

Alongside these newly appointed accommodations, the hotel’s grand entrance, main lobby, and reception lounge have been elegantly reconfigured to flood the interiors with natural light. The building’s celebrated Edwardian façade has also been meticulously restored, preserving its iconic character for the next generation of guests.

Joyce Wang’s visionary approach draws upon the property’s Edwardian roots, its tranquil Hyde Park setting, and the opulence of the early 20th-century travel era. Art Deco motifs are paired with bespoke furnishings and thoughtfully curated artworks, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere throughout the hotel.

Each guest room is uniquely designed, featuring clever alcoves, soft grey panelling, and hand-gilded mirrored art. The rooms present captivating views, either overlooking the fashionable Knightsbridge district or the serene inner courtyard, lush with a curated collection of native and exotic flora.

Rooms are outfitted with sumptuous leather-tufted headboards, expansive leather-topped writing desks, custom rugs, and subtle wildlife-inspired accents. Guests enjoy ample wardrobe storage, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, Nespresso coffee machine, and an extensive pillow menu for personalised comfort.

Suites offer a residential feel, with private hallway entrances, spacious bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes, elegantly appointed living areas featuring velvet sofas, wingback reading chairs, and marble bathrooms complete with walk-in rainfall showers and freestanding bathtubs. The living area’s centrepiece is an artisan-crafted acorn chandelier in gold and crackled glass, a nod to Hyde Park’s storied trees.

Knightsbridge Suites are further elevated by a hand-selected library curated in partnership with Mayfair’s renowned Heywood Hill booksellers, inviting guests to indulge in literary treasures during their stay.

The second phase of the transformation now encompasses the full restoration of park-facing rooms and suites. Two new penthouse suites have also debuted, each boasting expansive private terraces with sweeping vistas across London’s skyline and the verdant expanse of Hyde Park.
