Throughout this ambitious renovation, the property remained open, seamlessly blending heritage with contemporary luxury. The revitalisation, led by internationally acclaimed designer Joyce Wang, has been completed in carefully orchestrated stages, culminating in the unveiling of 95 exquisitely reimagined rooms and suites for discerning travellers in 2025.
Alongside these newly appointed accommodations, the hotel’s grand entrance, main lobby, and reception lounge have been elegantly reconfigured to flood the interiors with natural light. The building’s celebrated Edwardian façade has also been meticulously restored, preserving its iconic character for the next generation of guests.
Joyce Wang’s visionary approach draws upon the property’s Edwardian roots, its tranquil Hyde Park setting, and the opulence of the early 20th-century travel era. Art Deco motifs are paired with bespoke furnishings and thoughtfully curated artworks, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere throughout the hotel.
Each guest room is uniquely designed, featuring clever alcoves, soft grey panelling, and hand-gilded mirrored art. The rooms present captivating views, either overlooking the fashionable Knightsbridge district or the serene inner courtyard, lush with a curated collection of native and exotic flora.
