Eclectic Menu, Japanese Coffee and Unique Cocktails: The New Nobu Café Opens At Nobu Hotel Shoreditch

Nobu Hotel Shoreditch

unveils the reimagined Nobu Café, a refined gathering spot in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge.

Located within the 181-room Nobu Hotel Shoreditch in East London, this sophisticated 100-seat café delivers a globally inspired menu, an exclusive Matcha experience, and London’s only Kinto hand-brewed Japanese filter coffee. Guests can also indulge in Nobu’s signature afternoon tea ritual, crafted with Japanese precision and contemporary flair.

From 7am, the Nobu Café presents a curated selection of Asian-fusion pastries and confections alongside the innovative ‘Nobu Bites’ menu. This features both hot and cold small plates inspired by the brand’s celebrated restaurant offerings, plus inventive takes on classic lunch favourites, tailored for the cosmopolitan palate.

Menu standouts include Wagyu Beef Sliders, Tofu Buns, Rock Shrimp Nori Buns, and the Korobuta Pork Belly Tonkatsu Sando—each dish meticulously plated and bursting with umami.

Coffee aficionados can savour London’s exclusive Kinto Hand Brew, a Japanese pour-over technique utilising a stainless steel mesh filter. This method unlocks the coffee’s full-bodied character and aromatic complexity, offering a sustainable and immersive experience.

Additional highlights include a premium Slow Drip Cold Brew and a diverse selection of IKAATI Artisanal whole-leaf teas. The beverage menu further features specialty lattes, freshly pressed juices, and refreshing iced teas—all expertly prepared to the highest standard.

Nobu Café’s signature Afternoon Tea is available daily from 12pm to 5pm. Served with a choice of tea or coffee—and the option to elevate the experience with Veuve Clicquot Champagne, Kinto Coffee, or Imperial Gyokuro tea—this afternoon tea redefines the British classic with Japanese-inspired savouries and patisserie.

Afternoon Tea creations include Chicken Karaage, Anticucho Den Miso & Pickled Cucumber atop Sourdough, Grilled Tofu with Butter Lettuce & Shiso Pesto on Shokupan, and a delicate Yuzu & Kumquat Pound Cake.

As evening descends, Nobu Café transforms with a curated wine and craft beer list, complemented by inventive Japanese-inspired cocktails infused with premium teas. These bespoke drinks offer an elegant twist on traditional mixology, reflecting Nobu’s culinary philosophy.

The ambiance is defined by a harmonious blend of hand-selected timber, deep-hued stone, and richly textured textiles in neutral shades—creating a tranquil retreat amid Shoreditch’s vibrant energy. The design ethos channels both serenity and understated luxury, making it a standout among London’s East End cafés.
