Norwegian's low-cost network expands with the launch of Las Vegas route

Norwegian continues to redefine budget-friendly long-haul travel by introducing direct flights between London Gatwick and Las Vegas, its eighth U.S. gateway, enhancing affordable access to this iconic entertainment capital.

Since its debut, the route has made Las Vegas more accessible for UK travelers, offering one-way fares from just £179. Whether for business, leisure, or a spontaneous escape, this service has democratized luxury and adventure for a wider audience.

Operating twice weekly, the flights utilize Norwegian’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring both Premium and Economy cabins. Departures leave London Gatwick on Mondays and Thursdays at 12:10, arriving in Las Vegas at 16:00 local time. The return journey departs Las Vegas at 18:00, touching down in London at 10:50 the following day, ensuring a seamless and comfortable transatlantic experience.

According to Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian’s Chief Commercial Officer, “Las Vegas perfectly complements our expanding transatlantic portfolio from the UK. By providing competitive fares and high-quality service aboard the newest aircraft, we’re giving travelers more options than ever.” Norwegian’s strategy continues to intensify competition in the transatlantic market, benefiting passengers with greater choice and value.

Stewart Wingate, CEO of Gatwick, remarked, “Norwegian’s trailblazing approach has transformed expectations for long-haul travel from the UK. The low-cost, long-haul model is now a preferred standard for today’s global travelers.” Norwegian remains the only carrier consistently offering direct, low-cost flights from the UK to destinations across the U.S. and Caribbean, challenging traditional airline models and broadening horizons for British travelers.

Norwegian Air International (NAI), the airline’s Irish subsidiary, has since secured the essential foreign air carrier permit from U.S. authorities, further empowering Norwegian’s global expansion. This regulatory milestone has enabled the airline to extend its innovative service model to new markets, despite resistance from legacy carriers.

While the long-term impact on the aviation industry continues to evolve, Norwegian’s growth is undeniably making the world more connected and accessible. As of 2025, Norwegian’s commitment to affordable, quality transatlantic travel stands as a benchmark for modern air travel.
