SAS EuroBonus now offers two standout benefits: seamless EuroBonus point sharing with close contacts and the prestigious Lifetime Gold membership, designed to recognize the loyalty of its most engaged travelers.
These enhancements mark a significant step in the ongoing evolution of the SAS EuroBonus program, reflecting a broader strategy to provide greater flexibility and premium rewards for frequent flyers. In 2025, SAS continues to expand its loyalty program with innovative features based on direct member feedback and industry best practices.
“Our frequent flyers consistently inspire us to refine our loyalty experience. Their insights have directly shaped initiatives like Lifetime Gold and Point Sharing, enabling us to deliver tailored, value-driven benefits,” shares Johan Mägi, Head of EuroBonus at SAS.
Effective immediately, members can utilize EuroBonus Point Sharing, allowing up to eight people—be they family or friends—to combine and manage their points collectively without any additional charge.
“We recognize that today’s travelers earn points not just from flights, but also through an array of partners—from hotels to car rentals and retail. By enabling group point pooling, we help our members unlock exclusive travel experiences more quickly, whether that’s an upgrade, a complimentary hotel stay, or other curated rewards offered through SAS EuroBonus,” Mägi explains.
To get started, a member creates a Point Sharing group and invites up to seven others. All EuroBonus points earned by participants are deposited into a single, central account, providing greater purchasing power and flexibility. Members may only belong to one sharing group at a time, but can modify their group or exit every six months, ensuring adaptability for changing travel needs.
In addition, SAS introduces an updated Lifetime Gold membership tier, rewarding consistent loyalty with permanent Gold status privileges.

Lifetime Gold is available to EuroBonus members of any age who have achieved Gold status for ten consecutive years, either through earning qualifying points or by completing the required number of eligible flight segments with SAS. This enduring benefit underscores SAS’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding steadfast loyalty across its network.
