SAS launches a new and exclusive Champagne and beer selection this summer

SAS is redefining inflight indulgence this summer, continuing two celebrated partnerships to bring Business Class guests a truly exclusive beverage program. The airline’s collaboration with Charles Heidsieck introduces a rare vintage Champagne, while its ongoing alliance with Danish craft brewery Mikkeller presents a refreshing non-alcoholic beer crafted for the season.

Through its partnership with Charles Heidsieck, SAS Business Class travelers are uniquely privileged to savor the elusive Rosé Vintage Champagne—featuring both the 2005 and the final stocks of the 2006 vintages. This exclusive offering is unavailable anywhere else in the sky, replacing the previous Non-Vintage Brut with a Champagne that epitomizes refined luxury and rarity.

According to SAS Head Chef Peter Lawrence, "Our selection of this Rosé Vintage Champagne was guided by its harmonious pairing with our Business Class culinary experience. The Champagne is characterized by lively fruit, notes of fig, pine nut, and toasted brioche, culminating in a graceful, lingering finish. By offering the 2005 vintage and securing the last of the 2006, we ensure our guests enjoy one of the world’s most coveted Champagnes—exclusively onboard SAS."

SAS’s partnership with Mikkeller continues to set new standards for inflight craft beverages. Building on the ‘New Nordic Food & Beverage’ concept, the airline now serves a specially brewed non-alcoholic beer across all routes. This light, summery brew delivers a vibrant, fruity profile, with Belgian yeast and select spices offering depth and complexity—ideal for warm-weather journeys and guests seeking premium non-alcoholic options.

Peter adds, "We are committed to leading the industry with our beverage innovation. Over the past year, we’ve expanded our inflight selection with a variety of exclusive Mikkeller brews, but recognized the need for a sophisticated non-alcoholic choice."

He continues, "Every SAS x Mikkeller beer is crafted with the finest ingredients and exemplifies our shared pursuit of excellence. Many are fermented using wild yeast for unique character, and each is served at the peak of its flavor. Our collaboration has now produced 18 bespoke beers, a signature cocktail, and a house vodka, with six more exclusive Mikkeller creations currently in development—each destined to debut solely onboard SAS flights."
