Singapore Airlines has redefined its inflight wine programme, unveiling a thoughtfully curated array of boutique and artisanal wine labels designed to delight discerning travelers seeking exclusive experiences at 35,000 feet.
First and Business Class passengers are now treated to the most extensive airborne Burgundy wine collection, with 47 handpicked labels featured in a rolling showcase over 18 months—a dramatic increase from the airline’s previous offerings in 2018.
This refreshed wine strategy is the result of Singapore Airlines’ dedicated Wine Consultants personally traversing renowned wine regions, engaging directly with vintners, and meticulously selecting limited-production, high-quality wines. This hands-on approach supplements the airline’s traditional procurement process, ensuring a truly bespoke inflight cellar.
“By diversifying our onboard wine selection, we’re able to continually surprise and satisfy our frequent flyers’ evolving palates. Guests can anticipate a new, distinctive label featured every two months,” shared Ms. Betty Wong, Divisional Vice President of Inflight Services and Design at Singapore Airlines, in an official statement.
“Our Wine Consultants’ vineyard visits also allowed us to partner with smaller maisons and domaines, enriching our portfolio with rare Burgundy expressions and meeting the growing global appetite for exclusive, sought-after wines,” Wong added.
The enhanced beverage collection was unveiled at the World Gourmet Forum 2019, where Singapore Airlines’ expert wine panel introduced several new selections that will be available on upcoming flights. Highlights include prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines from respected producers such as Faiveley, Benjamin Leroux, Domaine D’Ardhuy, and Domaine de Montille.
