Skyteam opens new Dubai lounge

Discerning travellers flying from Dubai International Airport’s sophisticated Concourse D now enjoy access to the exclusive SkyTeam Lounge in Terminal 1—an oasis of comfort and style tailored for the modern premium passenger.

This flagship lounge welcomes First and Business Class guests, as well as Elite Plus members from the ten SkyTeam airlines operating out of Dubai. Managed by the renowned Marhaba group, the lounge sets a new benchmark for hospitality in the region.

Spanning an impressive 960 square metres, the space comfortably accommodates up to 180 guests. Culinary offerings include complimentary gourmet hot and cold dishes, each inspired by the diverse heritage of SkyTeam’s member carriers. The elegant, full-service bar serves a curated selection of fine beverages.

For travellers seeking to refresh before their journey, the lounge provides tranquil shower suites, and its doors remain open 24/7 to accommodate every schedule.

SkyTeam’s signature “New Concept” design is on full display, blending contemporary architecture with organic touches—think warm wood accents, sweeping curves, and a lush living wall that infuses the space with natural vitality. A dedicated Digital Art Gallery features rotating works from regional and international artists, elevating the ambience.

Business travellers benefit from high-speed, unlimited Wi-Fi, a fully equipped business centre with printing facilities, and a discreet VIP suite for private meetings. Ample charging stations are strategically placed throughout for convenience.

Additional amenities include a cinema-style TV lounge, a dedicated children’s playroom, and an extensive library of global and local newspapers and magazines.

During the grand opening, Perry Cantarutti—SkyTeam CEO and Managing Director—highlighted the increasing importance of premium airport lounges for today’s global traveller. "Lounges are now a pivotal part of the travel experience. Guests expect seamless connectivity, exceptional food and beverage, and a tranquil environment to work or relax. We anticipate welcoming over 600,000 passengers through our Dubai lounge annually."

Currently, SkyTeam operates more than 176 weekly flights from Dubai International, with member airlines including Aeroflot, Air France, China Eastern, China Southern, Kenya Airways, Korean Air, KLM, Middle East Airlines, Saudia, and Tarom.

"Dubai’s emergence as a world-leading aviation hub—with the highest volume of international traffic—makes it the perfect location for our newest lounge. Our commitment to enhancing the premium travel experience continues, with additional shared lounges planned across our global network, including an upcoming opening in Beijing," added Cantarutti.

Lufthansa has also expanded its premium footprint at Concourse D with the introduction of its Business Class and Senator Lounges, providing even more luxury options for travellers in Terminal 1.
