Superstar Chef Jamie Oliver to open flagship restaurant at Gatwick Airport

Renowned chef and restaurateur Jamie Oliver is set to launch his flagship eatery, Jamie Oliver's The Diner, at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal this summer.

This highly anticipated opening marks the second location for Jamie Oliver's The Diner, following the success of the original in London’s Leicester Square. Scheduled to debut in August, the Gatwick outpost will channel the spirit of classic American diners, reimagined through Jamie’s culinary lens.

Designed to accommodate up to 278 guests, the restaurant will stand among the largest dining venues at Gatwick, offering travelers an inviting space for a leisurely meal before departure. The menu promises an eclectic mix of comfort food favorites, all crafted with Jamie’s commitment to fresh, sustainable ingredients and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.

Signature menu highlights include:

  • Superfood Breakfast: Poached free-range eggs, baby spinach, a medley of super grains and pulses, smashed avocado, and a topping of toasted nuts and seeds
  • Decadent Chocolate Pancakes: Fluffy chocolate chip pancakes, caramelized banana, and honey-roasted pecans
  • Jamie's Insanity Burger: Premium beef patty, maple-cured bacon, Jamie’s signature bourbon-infused burger sauce, Sparkenhoe cheese, and quick-pickled vegetables
  • Super Corn and Quinoa Salad: Grilled corn, quinoa, creamy avocado, feta, alphonso mango, cherry tomatoes, zesty lime-garlic dressing, and crispy maple bacon

Travelers on the move will appreciate the dedicated ‘grab and go’ deli, making it easy to pick up nourishing wraps, salads, or burritos inspired by Jamie’s globally influenced recipes. Guests can customize their orders with a selection of slow-cooked meats, beans, whole grain rice or quinoa, avocado, low-fat yogurt, or Jamie’s exclusive chili sauce—ideal for those seeking a wholesome meal on the fly.

Commenting on the new Gatwick project, Jamie Oliver shared: “I’m thrilled to bring The Diner to Gatwick’s South Terminal. Airports can be hectic, so we’re creating a sanctuary where travelers can relax, enjoy genuinely good food, and unwind before their journey. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a full meal, everyone is welcome.”

He added, “We’re raising the bar for airport dining by serving the classic comfort food people crave, prepared with outstanding, ethically sourced ingredients. Expect plenty of lighter options alongside indulgent treats—each dish crafted to deliver fantastic flavor.”

Look for Jamie Oliver's The Diner starting this August in the South Terminal at Gatwick Airport.
