United Airlines has officially opened its state-of-the-art Polaris Lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport, setting a new benchmark for premium travel comfort in 2025.
Exclusively available to United Polaris business class travelers, the newly launched lounge provides a refined environment to unwind, dine, and recharge before flights from New York.
Spanning an impressive 455 seats, the lounge showcases distinct New York character, highlighted by a striking lighting installation crafted by Brooklyn’s renowned Richard Clarkson Studio. This bespoke piece artistically represents the 12 zodiac constellations, enveloping guests in a celestial ambiance.
One of the lounge’s standout features is its expansive bar, where expert mixologists serve a curated list of signature cocktails. The celebrated United Polaris Old Fashioned remains a favorite, featuring J. Rieger & Co. Kansas City Whiskey, a custom house syrup, Dale DeGroff bitters, and finished with a muddled orange wheel and Luxardo cherry.
For those seeking culinary excellence, the lounge presents a thoughtfully crafted à la carte menu that seamlessly blends global flavors with beloved American classics. Indulgent options such as Moroccan-spiced lamb and the iconic Polaris Burger highlight the menu’s diversity.
The exclusive dining room offers table service for up to 48 guests, with a menu overseen by acclaimed New York chef John Glowacki. Notable dishes include crisp potato latkes, golden polenta fries, wild mushroom risotto with a balsamic drizzle, and the whimsical "Brookie"—a decadent fusion of brownie and cookie served alongside chilled milk.
Guests can also enjoy a relaxed bistro buffet, featuring a build-your-own bagel station alongside a selection of gourmet sandwiches and wraps for a quick yet elevated meal.
Further enhancing the Polaris Lounge experience are 10 private daybeds with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, and 10 spa-inspired shower suites boasting rainfall showers and Cowshed Spa amenities from Soho House & Co. Attentive personal valet services, including garment steaming, are available to ensure guests feel refreshed before boarding.
This Newark opening follows successful launches of United Polaris Lounges at San Francisco and Houston, with Los Angeles and other key hubs continuing to set the gold standard for business class lounges worldwide.
Strategically located in Terminal C, just past security between Gates C102 and C120, the United Polaris Lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport offers seamless access for discerning travelers seeking comfort, style, and exclusive amenities.
