Belmond, renowned for curating some of the world’s most iconic luxury experiences, has introduced three exceptional ‘Grand Suites’ to the storied Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. These exclusive suites, available for reservations since early 2024, set an unrivaled standard in private rail accommodations.
Each Grand Suite offers an expansive sanctuary, featuring a dedicated en-suite bathroom with a rainfall shower, a plush double bed, and an intimate lounge area.

Istanbul Grand Suite
Travelers are immersed in the nostalgia of vintage carriages, gourmet cuisine crafted by award-winning chefs, and vibrant onboard entertainment, making every journey a truly world-class affair.
Now, guests may indulge in the ultimate privacy and sophistication by booking a Grand Suite, each inspired by the timeless allure of Paris, Venice, or Istanbul and adorned with authentic 1920s Art Deco elements.

Belmond’s announcement highlights interiors that “capture the romance and grandeur of a bygone era,” paired with generous layouts and private spa-like bathrooms for the modern traveler.

Venice Grand Suite
The project, led by the acclaimed Wimberly Interiors studio in London, was meticulously designed to honor the train’s storied legacy while introducing contemporary luxury.
Rachel Johnson, Vice President and Studio Director at Wimberly Interiors, explains: “We drew inspiration from the essence of each city, weaving together visual motifs and the signature Belmond guest journey. Our challenge was to reinterpret Art Deco glamour with a refined, timeless sensibility.”
Distinctive design flourishes evoke each destination: the Istanbul Suite features hand-carved woodwork and embossed leather; the Paris Suite offers sophisticated furnishings in soft, classic hues; and the Venice Suite dazzles with silk textiles, Murano glass accents, and ornate baroque details.
Paris Grand Suite
Guests reserving the Paris, Venice, or Istanbul Grand Suites benefit from private transfers, a dedicated steward providing round-the-clock service, free-flowing champagne, and bespoke in-suite dining. Additional amenities include custom bathrobes and artisanal toiletries, enhancing the sense of exclusivity.
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express operates between London, Paris, and Venice from March through November, with its legendary annual Paris–Istanbul route every August—an extraordinary passage linking Europe and Asia.
