Setting new industry standards for sustainable travel, Virgin Atlantic has reimagined its onboard amenity kits, now known as 'Goodie Bags.' Developed in collaboration with Galileo Watermark and available across the entire fleet in both Upper Class and Premium cabins, these kits are crafted from FSC-certified, recyclable kraft paper and are filled with thoughtfully selected sustainable essentials. Passengers can enjoy these curated items during their flight or reuse them once on the ground. The latest Upper Class Goodie Bags feature:
- REN Clean Skincare items – including nourishing lip balm, hydrating hand cream, and rejuvenating face cream
- A full-sized @Bambuubrush eco-friendly toothbrush
- A premium satin sleep mask with adjustable Velcro for a personalized fit
- Destination-inspired designer socks
- Ear plugs packaged in recyclable paper
- WhiteGlo toothpaste
- Eco-conscious kraft paper pen
In Economy Class, guests may request sustainable amenities such as eye masks, ear plugs, dental kits, socks, and pens, further minimizing single-use plastics and reducing waste onboard. The transition to these new Goodie Bags has eliminated approximately 945 metric tonnes of plastic annually—equivalent to the combined weight of over six Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.
Upper Class travelers now enjoy redesigned sleepwear, rebranded as 'Loungewear,' crafted from ultra-soft cotton-blend jersey for maximum comfort. Offered in three sizes, this understated and stylish loungewear is provided on all night flights and is available by request during daytime services. The modern design allows for effortless transition from cabin to lounge, and each set is presented in a reusable bag, reinforcing Virgin Atlantic’s sustainable ethos.
Virgin Atlantic has also elevated its in-flight beauty experience, partnering with REN Clean Skincare to supply premium products in Upper Class amenity kits and Clubhouse washrooms. Additionally, Aveda haircare is now featured in Clubhouse showers and spa areas, reflecting the airline’s commitment to luxury and environmental stewardship through partnerships with award-winning beauty brands.
Additional enhancements aboard the new A350-1000 include sophisticated tableware, signature almond gold Wilbur and Orville salt & pepper shakers, elegant metal napkin rings, and new bedding engineered to reduce laundering and maximize comfort, including a plush padded fitted sheet for superior rest at altitude.
