The World's Most Punctual Airlines Revealed

Flight delays are a universal frustration for luxury and business travelers alike. Even a minor schedule slip can disrupt carefully crafted itineraries, cause missed connections, or simply erode the pleasure of seamless travel.

Fortunately, airline punctuality is on the rise. Renowned aviation analytics firm OAG has published its 2025 Punctuality League, highlighting the world's leaders in on-time flight operations across both airlines and airports.

Drawing from over 70 million flight records throughout 2024, this respected UK-based study ranks major global airlines and airports by their reliability and timekeeping excellence.

OAG defines on-time performance (OTP) as flights that depart or arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled times—a critical metric for discerning travelers.

For 2025, airBaltic once again secures the top spot as the world’s most punctual airline, with an impressive 92.3% on-time record. Close contenders include Japan Airlines and Avianca, both setting new benchmarks for operational efficiency.
