London celebrates the opening of The Dilly

London’s hospitality scene has been revitalized with the debut of The Dilly, a distinguished five-star property that seamlessly blends Edwardian grandeur with contemporary flair, now welcoming discerning travelers on Piccadilly.

Originally constructed in 1908, this heritage building—formerly Le Méridien Piccadilly—has undergone a comprehensive transformation. During our recent visit, we experienced first-hand the meticulous redesign of the guest rooms, lobby, and façade, all of which honor the building’s storied past while offering state-of-the-art comforts. The Dilly features 255 rooms and 28 suites, with 39 accommodations ready at the time of its grand opening. An exclusive mezzanine-level reception ensures a discreet check-in experience, with private lifts whisking guests to their elegant rooms and suites.

One of The Dilly’s standout features is its impressive 25-meter (82-foot) indoor pool—among the largest in Central London. Guests seeking wellness will appreciate the Health Club at The Dilly, which boasts a fully equipped, modern fitness center. The spa, curated by Yoma, delivers bespoke treatments using only natural, ethically sourced products—an approach that has earned accolades in the wellness industry for its holistic philosophy.

The Dilly is also an exceptional venue for events, with a collection of sophisticated meeting and function rooms. The Oak Room, a renowned banqueting hall, currently hosts Madhu’s Mayfair: a celebrated fine-dining pop-up known for its innovative Indian-Kenyan fusion cuisine, consistently earning praise from critics and guests alike.

Occupying one of London’s premier addresses, The Dilly offers panoramic views over Piccadilly and Regent Street, as well as sweeping vistas of the city skyline from its upper floors. The hotel is mere steps from iconic landmarks such as the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain (familiarly known as “Eros”), the legendary Fortnum & Mason, the historic Waterstones Piccadilly, and the artisan boutiques of Jermyn Street—including the esteemed Paxton & Whitfield cheesemonger and Davidoff cigar emporium.

General Manager James Olivier shares his perspective:

“When seeking the ultimate destination for business, leisure, or a restorative escape, there is no rival to our address—Piccadilly Circus, the beating heart of London. The Dilly’s name captures the spirit of our location: playful, memorable, and rooted in the city’s vibrant culture. We are proud to say ‘We Are London’—and invite guests to truly experience the capital at its finest.”
