Marking its highly anticipated entry into Japan, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has unveiled its inaugural Japanese property atop the upper six floors of a soaring skyscraper in Tokyo’s prestigious Yaesu 2-Chome North District.
Conceived by the renowned Milanese design firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo showcases 98 impeccably appointed rooms and suites. Each accommodation blends sleek Italian design with artisanal Japanese touches – think handwoven baskets and bespoke bed linens crafted by local artisans. The bathrooms, finished in lustrous black granite, are accessible via sliding doors inspired by classic Japanese architecture. Throughout the hotel, guests discover a harmonious interplay of Italian marble, elm wood archways, and intricate mosaic flooring echoing traditional Japanese textile motifs.
Gastronomy takes center stage with the acclaimed Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, while the intimate Hoseki offers a refined sushi experience. The Bulgari Lounge provides a sanctuary for afternoon tea, and Bulgari Dolci tempts with curated artisanal chocolates. The Bulgari Bar, featuring two partially open-air terraces, is an urban destination for crafted cocktails with panoramic city views. On the 40th floor, the spa unveils a 25-meter pool, complemented by a tranquil vitality pool, private treatment suites, and hand-crafted wooden cabanas for bespoke relaxation.
Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari Group, described the Tokyo opening as a pivotal achievement, strengthening Bulgari’s legacy in Japan—a market the brand has cherished for more than three decades.
This Tokyo flagship marks Bulgari’s eighth hotel, joining a distinguished portfolio that spans London, Milan, Dubai, Bali, Shanghai, Beijing, and Paris. The brand continues its global expansion, with forthcoming properties set for Miami, Rome, Los Angeles, and the Maldives.
