Jumeirah Group, renowned for its ultra-luxury hospitality portfolio, has officially added the legendary Le Richemond in Geneva to its growing European collection. This strategic acquisition marks Jumeirah’s debut in Switzerland and brings its European presence to five exceptional properties, complementing its celebrated addresses in London, Capri, and Majorca.
Established in 1875 and gracing the shores of Lake Geneva, Le Richemond boasts a storied heritage and panoramic lake views. Previously under the stewardship of Rocco Forte Hotels and later operated by the Dorchester Collection, the hotel has long been regarded as a Geneva landmark.
With 87 elegantly appointed rooms and 22 suites, Le Richemond has remained closed since 2020. Jumeirah has announced ambitious plans to restore and elevate the property, blending timeless Swiss elegance with the group’s signature luxury hospitality.
“Acquiring Le Richemond is a milestone for Jumeirah, marking our entry into the Swiss market,” shared Katerina Giannouka, CEO of Jumeirah Group. “Our vision is to honour the hotel’s rich 140-year heritage while introducing curated enhancements that redefine luxury for discerning travellers.”
Globally, Jumeirah Group manages 26 award-winning hotels and resorts, including the iconic Burj Al Arab, consistently recognised in industry rankings for excellence.
