Mandarin Oriental to open third hotel in London by 2028

Mandarin Oriental is expanding its London portfolio with a third property, Mandarin Oriental Bankside, slated to welcome guests in 2028.

Strategically set along the South Bank, the new hotel will offer panoramic vistas of St Paul’s Cathedral and seamless access to both the City’s financial core and the vibrant West End. Its coveted location ensures guests are steps away from London's acclaimed theatres, renowned shopping, and cultural institutions—ideal for discerning leisure and business travellers alike.

The contemporary standalone hotel will feature approximately 171 elegantly appointed rooms and 70 exclusive Residences at Mandarin Oriental. Wellness and fitness are at the heart of the guest experience: the expansive Spa at Mandarin Oriental will showcase holistic therapies, advanced beauty treatments, a 25-metre heated lap pool, a state-of-the-art fitness studio, and immersive heat and hydrotherapy zones.

Four signature restaurants and bars—set across the first and 19th floors—will elevate London’s culinary scene, offering guests and locals alike the opportunity to dine while enjoying breathtaking cityscapes.

Mandarin Oriental Bankside is a cornerstone of the Bankside Yards development, which is on track to become the UK's first major mixed-use site to operate entirely free of fossil fuels, underscoring the brand’s commitment to sustainability and responsible luxury.

The Residences at Mandarin Oriental will deliver a peerless residential experience, granting owners privileged access to the legendary Mandarin Oriental hospitality and hotel facilities. Residents will enjoy a dedicated sky lobby, an exclusive rooftop garden oasis, and secure private parking.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group currently manages 36 hotels and nine residential projects across 24 countries and territories, continuing its legacy as a global leader in luxury hospitality.
