Dior has elevated luxury rail travel through a lasting collaboration with the Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, unveiling the exclusive Dior Spa Royal Scotsman. This unique spa is nestled within one of the train’s exquisitely restored carriages, offering a sanctuary of relaxation on the move.
This partnership pays homage to Christian Dior’s enduring connection with Scotland, a country he celebrated with his iconic fashion showcase in 1955. The spa carriage is thoughtfully designed with Dior’s signature burgundy toile de Jouy, creating an atmosphere of refined tranquility as the Highlands roll by outside.
The spa’s curated menu features three bespoke treatments tailored specifically for discerning guests: D-Travel, D-Elements, and D-Highlands.
The D-Travel ritual, available as a 30- or 60-minute session, provides a deeply restorative massage targeting tension and assisting detoxification. D-Elements, a one-hour full-body therapy, incorporates semi-precious heated stones and rhythmic massage to evoke both the warmth and briskness of the Scottish climate. The D-Highlands, also a one-hour experience, is a revitalizing facial using the renowned Kobido technique and Dior Prestige products for visible radiance.
Complementing the spa, the Royal Scotsman’s latest wellness-focused itineraries blend outdoor adventure with gourmet experiences. Guests can enjoy invigorating hikes, wild swimming in pristine lochs, and seasonal farm-to-table dining, all seamlessly integrated with the onboard spa offerings.
This autumn, the celebrated "A Taste of Scotland" journey, curated with Michelin-starred Chef Tom Kitchin, returns for a two-night culinary odyssey through the Highlands. Travelers will savor Scotland’s finest local ingredients, participate in country pursuits at the Rothiemurchus Estate within Cairngorms National Park, and experience Chef Kitchin’s acclaimed "From Nature-to-Plate" ethos. Highlights include a L’Art du Vin wine masterclass, a rustic barbecue by a scenic loch, and an expert-led whisky tasting at the legendary Benromach distillery in Forres. The adventure culminates in a black-tie Gala dinner as the train glides south toward Dundee, with a final breakfast served while traversing the iconic Forth Railway Bridge en route back to Edinburgh.
The Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, begins and concludes all journeys at the historic Edinburgh Waverley Station.
