Orient-Express, the legendary name synonymous with luxury rail travel, has unveiled the Steam Dream collection—a series of exquisitely crafted travel accessories and homewares, developed in partnership with 18 of the world’s most esteemed design ateliers including Smythson, Bernardaud, and Bang & Olufsen.
This exclusive range features everything from a signature scented candle, priced just above USD 100, to a meticulously detailed children's miniature sleeping car—an objet d'art with a price tag exceeding USD 100,000.
For over 130 years, Orient-Express has set the global standard in opulent train journeys, whisking discerning travelers from London to Paris, Istanbul, and beyond. Its legendary service, gourmet dining, and lavish accommodations have inspired countless stories, including Agatha Christie’s celebrated novel “Murder on the Orient Express.”
Since Accor’s acquisition of a 50% stake in the Orient-Express brand from SNCF, the French rail operator, the brand has expanded its vision beyond rail. Accor has embarked on a multi-year project to open a portfolio of ultra-luxury hotels under the Orient-Express name. The flagship, a thoroughly reimagined Hotel de la Minerva in Rome’s Pantheon quarter, opened in 2024, with plans to unveil ten additional Orient-Express hotels worldwide by 2030.
To keep the brand’s storied heritage alive between these landmark hotel launches, Accor has introduced the Steam Dream collection: an artful assembly of rail-inspired pieces ranging from statement luggage to artisanal eyewear. Highlights include a bespoke trunk by Au Départ featuring a built-in Bang & Olufsen turntable, signature candles from Cire Troudon, limited-edition sunglasses by Maison Bonnet, Smythson’s elegant stationery, and collectible books from Albin Michel and Assouline. Every item is designed to evoke the essence of iconic train travel—celebrating sleeping, journeying, dining, and leisurely lounging in unmistakable Orient-Express style.

It’s important to note that Accor’s Orient-Express hotels are distinct from the former Orient-Express Hotels group, which rebranded as Belmond Hotels in 2014 and is now under LVMH ownership. Belmond continues to operate the iconic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train service, maintaining its own tradition of rail grandeur.
