British Airways new First Class - now featuring doors

British Airways has introduced its reimagined First Class aboard the latest Boeing 777-300ER, now featuring fully enclosed suites with privacy doors for the first time in the airline’s history.

This newly launched First Class suite marks a refined evolution rather than a complete overhaul, building on the foundation of BA’s well-known premium product. While British Airways’ Club Suite in Business Class—available on the Airbus A350 and select Boeing 777s—has set a new benchmark for privacy with its sliding doors, First Class passengers have, until now, lacked this coveted feature.

The Club Suite’s innovative design has been lauded by frequent flyers for its comfort and seclusion, setting high expectations for the First Class upgrade.

For the first time, British Airways’ First Class guests can now enjoy the exceptional privacy of a personal suite with a sliding door, initially available on the Boeing 777-300ER and expected to be featured on the forthcoming fleet of 777-9 aircraft. British Airways has reaffirmed its commitment to these upgrades, despite ongoing industry shifts and aircraft order adjustments.

The sophisticated First Class cabin maintains its signature 1-2-1 layout, ensuring direct aisle access for every guest. In addition to the new doors, subtle enhancements in seat finishes and cabin materials elevate the ambiance, with a focus on refined surfaces and contemporary detailing. While the core seat design remains familiar, the incremental improvements reinforce British Airways’ status as a leader in luxury air travel.
