As European aviation experiences a robust resurgence in 2025, flagship carriers are redefining the premium cabin experience. British Airways, Finnair, Lufthansa, and SWISS are setting new industry standards with curated culinary programs, sophisticated lounges, and bespoke amenities designed for discerning travelers.
British Airways has revitalized its iconic Concorde Room lounges at London Heathrow Terminal 5 and New York JFK Terminal 7. Reserved exclusively for First Class guests and Gold Guest List members, these spaces remain inaccessible to oneworld Emeralds, preserving their exclusivity.
Among the latest enhancements, British Airways has introduced the innovative Forty Winks EnergyPods, allowing premium travelers to enjoy restorative pre-flight naps in privacy and comfort—a feature highly praised during our recent visit.

These cocktails are now available in both the Galleries First and Club lounges. Complementing this, a refined inflight gastro-pub menu brings contemporary British fare to the skies.

Finnair continues its focus on Nordic culinary excellence, unveiling fresh Business Class menus for both short- and long-haul journeys. On flights under one hour, guests enjoy artisan sandwiches with premium beverage selections. For flights up to three hours, regional Scandinavian salads—such as Benella rainbow trout—are served, crafted with locally sourced ingredients.
On intercontinental routes, Finnair has integrated the Japanese umami philosophy into its dishes, offering highlights like Nordic seafood, Japanese-inspired chicken, and plant-based Indian options. Desserts showcase traditional Finnish recipes, and oat milk is now standard as a sustainable coffee creamer. Their Business Class also features a self-service Nordic Kitchen with a rotating array of snacks and beverages.
