Qatar Airlines and Delta Air Lines support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Leading international airlines, including Qatar Airways and Delta Air Lines, continue to set a global standard in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month every October.

Qatar Airways has curated a signature "Think Pink" journey for travelers this year, starting at the award-winning Hamad International Airport (HIA) lounges and extending into the skies. Guests at both the Al Mourjan Business Lounge and the Al Safwa First Lounge are welcomed with limited-edition pink-themed beverages like the ‘Pink Berry’ mocktail and a ruby-tinted hot chocolate crowned with marshmallows, alongside an elegant afternoon tea service featuring pastel-hued pastries, scones, and sandwiches.

Onboard flights departing from Doha, First and Business Class passengers are treated to a bespoke pink mocktail and a gourmet ‘Think Pink’ menu, which includes a themed afternoon tea and exquisite desserts adorned with a handcrafted sugar breast cancer ribbon.

Travelers also receive exclusive amenity kits crafted from high-quality vegan leather, available in two sophisticated designs: a pink and white edition for women and a sleek black version for men, each embellished with the signature breast cancer ribbon motif.

These collectible kits, designed in partnership with luxury Italian brand BRIC’S, feature eco-friendly products from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio—renowned for their sustainable olive oil-based skincare—presented in striking pink packaging.

Delta Air Lines has been a steadfast advocate for breast cancer research since 2005, raising over USD 20 million to fund more than 80 pioneering research projects through its partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Throughout October, Delta donates 20% of all onboard sales to the BCRF, directly supporting breakthrough research. Passengers are also encouraged to contribute through cash, major foreign currencies, and gift cards collected by the inflight crew for the charity.

Additionally, Delta’s exclusive Pink Boutique offers a curated range of BCRF and Delta-branded merchandise, with all proceeds directed to the Foundation’s critical work.

The airline’s commitment is symbolized by its iconic Pink Plane—first introduced as a Boeing 757—which has toured North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean, raising awareness and inspiring travelers for nearly two decades.

The World Health Organization underscores the urgency of these initiatives: As of 2025, breast cancer remains the most prevalent cancer worldwide, with more than 2.5 million women diagnosed annually and millions of survivors globally. Qatar Airways and Delta Air Lines’ efforts are vital in driving awareness and supporting ongoing research in the fight against breast cancer.
