When Qantas first opened its premium lounge at Heathrow, guests were presented exclusively with Petaluma Croser—a respected sparkling wine from South Australia. While well-regarded, this selection left some discerning travelers wishing for a true French Champagne experience in line with global luxury standards.
Recognizing this demand, Qantas has now enhanced its beverage program, as confirmed by Australian Business Traveller, introducing Perrier Jouet Champagne to its London Heathrow lounge. This esteemed Champagne, already a hallmark at Qantas First Class lounges in Sydney, Melbourne, and Los Angeles, now graces the glasses of Heathrow’s most privileged visitors.
Although Perrier Jouet is not explicitly listed on the public drinks menu, First Class passengers, Platinum One frequent flyers, and members of the exclusive Chairman’s Lounge are able to enjoy this premium pour upon request. Meanwhile, Petaluma Croser remains available for all other guests, ensuring a curated selection for every palate.
The move raises the question: should a Champagne of Perrier Jouet’s pedigree remain a quiet secret, or be celebrated more openly among Qantas’s elite clientele?
