Which Airport Has The Best Food?

You’ve arrived early, breezed through security, and checked your bags with time to spare. Now, with two hours until boarding, it’s the perfect moment to indulge in a memorable meal before your flight.

While airport dining has long been synonymous with inflated prices and lackluster offerings, a new era has emerged. Today, select global airports have elevated their culinary experiences, transforming terminals into destinations for epicurean travelers.

A comprehensive analysis by RewardExpert evaluated the world’s busiest international airports, ranking their food scenes based on quality, value, and variety.

By aggregating thousands of guest reviews from sources like Yelp and TripAdvisor, scrutinizing menus, and comparing pricing, RewardExpert’s data-driven scorecard highlights the airports that deliver an exceptional dining experience.

According to their findings, Tokyo’s Narita International Airport consistently leads the pack, recognized for its remarkable Japanese cuisine—from artfully prepared sushi to steaming bowls of ramen and fresh onigiri. Narita excels in both flavor and affordability, though its focus remains firmly on authentic Japanese fare rather than global diversity.

Asian airports continue to set the standard in 2025, with four of the top five airports for food located in Asia. Alongside Narita, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Hong Kong International Airport, and Singapore Changi Airport offer a curated mix of regional and international options. Amsterdam Schiphol is the sole European representative in the top tier.

Conversely, many European airports still lag behind, with limited culinary variety and higher price points. Italy’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport remains at the bottom of the rankings, while London Gatwick stands out as an exception, earning a strong sixth place with its blend of local and global flavors.

According to the latest report, the top three airports for dining are:

– Narita International Airport
– Taoyuan International Airport
– Hong Kong International Airport

The three airports ranked lowest are:

– Charles de Gaulle Airport
– Barcelona–El Prat Airport
– Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport
