This Converted Palazzo Is Venice’s Best New Luxury Hotel

At BusinessClass, our passion for Venice runs deep—especially its opulent hospitality scene. Our editorial team has previously sampled the storied elegance of Hotel Danieli and the legendary Gritti Palace, and we continue to be captivated by the city’s exceptional collection of five-star hotels.

Venice’s allure remains undiminished, drawing over 2.5 million discerning visitors annually, with demand for premium accommodation on the rise. Yet, the city’s rigorous conservation regulations and architectural heritage mean that truly new luxury properties are a rare occurrence.

This scarcity intensifies competition among existing icons, each striving to deliver increasingly personalized, world-class service. When a new luxury hotel does emerge, it must offer an extraordinary experience to rival Venice’s established grande dames.

Enter Palazzo Venart Luxury Hotel, an exclusive addition that has quickly carved out its reputation as a game-changer for Venetian hospitality. Perfectly situated on the Grand Canal, this meticulously restored 16th-century palazzo fuses Renaissance grandeur with contemporary luxury.

After a comprehensive two-year restoration, Palazzo Venart reopened its doors, unveiling a breathtaking blend of original artistry and modern sophistication. Today, it stands as one of Venice’s most sought-after boutique retreats, celebrated for its peerless design and service.

Join us as we explore why Palazzo Venart is redefining the standard for luxury stays in Venice.

Upon arrival at Palazzo Venart, guests are welcomed at a private dock on the Grand Canal—an exclusive arrival accessible by gondola or water taxi. The journey continues through a tranquil garden, leading to a blush-hued façade adorned with expertly restored historical details, a testament to the expertise of Venetian restoration specialists.

Inside, the grand main corridor is a visual feast, featuring a sweeping marble staircase and walls adorned with meticulously preserved 19th-century frescoes.

Ascending the staircase reveals an elegant lounge, where a hand-painted French court piano sets the stage amid curated artwork and sumptuous, custom-upholstered furnishings.

The hotel offers just 18 individually designed rooms and suites—several with panoramic Grand Canal views—each boasting opulent marble bathrooms and dramatic Venetian décor. Suites pay homage to local legends such as Casanova, Titian, Dandolo, Lord Byron, Murano, and Carnevale.

Our editorial team is eager to return and further compare Palazzo Venart’s refined hospitality to other iconic Venetian properties. For connoisseurs of palatial luxury, this hotel is an essential chapter in the ongoing story of Venice’s world-class accommodations.
